Girl Scouts in New Hanover County

I am the new Membership Specialist for Girl Scouts in New Hanover County. My job is to connect girls ages 5 - 18 who are interested in becoming a Girl Scout with adult Leaders in New Hanover County. I love the Girl Scout organization. Where else can a girl try new things, make new friends, learn new skills, travel to new places and develop leadership skills while having lots of fun in a safe, girls-only setting? Hi Sandra,

Thank you for the compliment and I apologize it has taken me so long to respond.

I have wanted to blog about the Girl Scouts and you may remember I contacted you in the fall about my daughter signing up. We had just started homeschooling and were trying to find a troop. Unfortunately, time got the best of us and I've yet to get her into a troop. (As I understand it, the summer is pretty quiet with troops, so we may try again next year when she is re-enrolled in school.)
I'd like to write something about the Girl Scouts...perhaps there is an upcoming event we should be aware of or maybe detailing how someone may sign a daughter up (and what Girl Scouts entails)?
