New to the area

Hey my name is Dawn my family just moved to the area from Spokane Washington we ended up renting a home in Hubert. I have 3 kids 5, 3 and 2 months. I dont know anyone around here so I would like to get to know some moms in the area.

What kind of things does your 5-year-old or your 2-year-old like to do?

Have you also had a chance to also check out some of the attractions in the area that are fun for kids, such as the Children's Museum or the Railroad Museum?

Well my 5 year old daughter loves animals mainly horses and my son-3 is into super heros. No we havent made it to the area attractions yet-not really sure whats here or where to find it.Museums sound like fun though. We are just starting to get settled in but it was a crazy trip across the country.

What ages are your kids? What does your family do here for fun?
Are you close to Hubert?

Welcome to North Carolina!
I lived in Jacksonville for a few yrs while my husband was stationed at MCAS New River. I suggest finding a Mothers of Preschoolers group near you. I found a group when we moved to Wilmington and they have been a life saver. I did not know a soul here and these women welcomed me with open arms and have become dear friends. I know being in a military town can be rough, esp when you are the new kid in town. Check out MOPS and hopefully you can find a fantastic support system.
There is an Azalea Festival in April, come to Wilmington and check it out, always great family fun!
