We have a real heart for parents - single especially - who are feeling overwhelmed and are at a loss for what to do. We will be sharing a solid strategy for parenting your teen/tween through these challenges and on to responsible adulthood. YWCA PRESENTS VOGUE MODELING MORE THAN JUST A FASHION SHOW

The YWCA will offer Vogue Modeling for Beginners starting July 12, 2010 from 1-2:30 pm for ages 7-14. Vogue Modeling is more than a fashion show, the workshop teaches: Basic Runway Technique, Types of Modeling, Poise & Posture, Stage Presence, Charm & Etiquette, Self Esteem Building, Public Speaking Skills and Fashion Show Preparation. Three unusual tales explore the shadowy places in our hearts and minds: madness, existential terror, and the dark loneliness that lies at the center of desire through The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, Before the Law by Franz Kafka and The Tree by Benjamin Percy. Performed in Shadow and Bunraku-style Puppetry. Appropriate for ages 12+ due to some scary, bone-chilling content. Held in conjunction with the CAM exhibition PuppetArt on view through January 9, 2011.
